TRAINING CENTER MANAGER

Drydocks World South East Asia, located in the strategic hub of Singapore, operates four of Asia’s premier shipyard in one of the world’s busiest seaways. It specilizes in Rig and Ship Building as well as Repair and Conversions supported by Engineering and Design Capabilities. We are inviting suitably qualified professionals to join our team and to be based at Batam as: 1) Training Center Manager (Based in Batam, Indonesia) Reporting to hte HR Director, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of Batam Training Centre. This position involves setting the vision, direction, policies and procedures for training, and to ensure that trainee enjoy a quality training experience, Additionally, you will work closely with the business units in identify training and development needs. You will also plan, oversee and evaluate appropriate training course/programmes for the trades. Requirements: • Degree from a recognized university • Preferably at least 5 years relevant experience including Training and Development and Talent Management • Knowledge of marine / ofshore practices in shipyard is necessary 2) Trainers ( Based in Batam, Indonesia) Reporting to the Training Centre Manager, you will conduct skills training according to the industrial needs which include Piping, Welding, Rigging, Forklit, Role Management etc. You will identify new ways to develop and implement training and developmental courses/programmes. In addition and report progress of trainees and keep detail records Requirements: • Minimum Diploma from a recognized institution with relevant trade certificates • Preferably at least 3 years relevant experience in Training and Development • Knowledge of marine / offshore practices in shipyards • Conduct and arrange trade testing of trainees • Able to work independently and within strict timelines • Speak fluent English and Indonesian languange 3) Human Resource Manager (Based in Batam, Indonesia) Requirements: • Degree from a recognized university • Preferably at least 5 years relevant experience in Shipyard • Knowledge of Indonesian labor law and worker insurance • Speaks fluent English and Indonesian languange Succesful candidates may undergo induction and orientation at Dubai shipyard.
